It’s been awhile since I posted something. I got caught up with work and all. I recently saw a photo of my trip from Hong Kong last year (Thanks, Facebook for the reminding me of my trip). Oh how I missed wandering! Anyway, this post should’ve been posted last year but I really didn’t have the time to continue this blog post. It’s been on my draft for a year now and I actually forgot what I did last year in Hong Kong! LOL! I’ll try to remember as many memories I can, okay? haha! So let’s start!
That was around February of last year, there was a seat sale from Cebu Pacific Air going to Hong Kong for only 4,000 Pesos (Round trip!). I did a quick search for August around my birthday. Luckily, there was an available promo seat from August 10 – 13, 2016. Perfect! Traveling and coming back to Cebu during my birthday! I can’t contain my excitement!
Fast forward August 10, 2016, I arrived at the airport excited and scared. I originally booked a ticket on my own because I wanted to travel alone for the 2nd time (not with a group). And so I mentioned it to my titas and they wanted to go to Hong Kong with me. So 1 booked thru me and others booked their own ticket. Anyway, back to our trip, we arrived in Hong Kong around 9 in the morning. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a downpour. Way to start our 1st day! After disembarkation and airport arrival procedures we then went to the Bus stop/terminal just right outside the arrival hall. If your hotel/hostel is around Tsim Sha Tsui (T.S.T), look for a bus with A21 LED signage. If you have Octopus card, you can proceed directly to the bus and tap to pay. If you don’t have one yet, you can look for the bus company’s counter and pay there. It would cost around HK$33 (Est. Php 212) per person. I think you can also go straight to the bus and pay the exact fare as no change will be given but I have not seen anyone paid in cash inside the bus.
After an hour or so, we’re already in Tsim Sha Tsui. We then went to our hostel which is inside Chung King Mansion. The building itself is really old and the place is creepy AF. Anyway, since we arrived too early for check in, we just left our luggage in our hostel and went out to look for food. Guess what, our first meal in Hong Kong is in… McDonald’s (麦当劳)! *face palm*. What happened about trying local dishes? hahaha! But we were so hungry then and we’re not sure where to eat. Good thing there’s a lot of fast food joints we are familiar with.
Anyway, to summarize my trip, below is my 4 Days 3 Nights in Hong Kong:
– Transfer to hotel
– Tour around Tsim Sha Tsui Area
– Symphony of Lights in Victoria harbor and stayed there for a couple of hours because I was playing Pokemon GO. lol!
– Tried the Cafe de Coral.
– Victoria Peak
– Tai Koo (Went to see some of our friends living there)
– Went around Hong Kong island (Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay)
– Tried their Tram from TaiKoo to Central.
– Disneyland ( Wasn’t able to go inside since it was already late and it was raining.)
– Mongkok (Shopping!)
– I actually forgot what I did on this day. hahaha!
– Here’s a photo to compensate my memory gap!
– Early Check out
– Transfer to Airport
